Hanae Sasaoka was born in Saitama, Japan and grew up in west Kanagawa. Before pursuing a career in art she earned her BA of International Business from Aoyama-Gakuin University in Tokoyo, Japan. She's also learned Mandarin Chinese and Chinese law in Beijing People's University simultaneously. She worked in Taiwan, China and the UK for eight years in the business field. Since changing her career path she has exhibited her work nationally and internationally throughout Tokyo, the UK and New York. Her work is included in many private collections. She lived and worked in Long Island, NY from 2006 to 2010, and she's been chosen as one of the artists for New York Foundation for the Arts, Immigrant Artists Outreach Initiative Program 2007-2008.
After she has returned to Tokyo, she is showing her work and teaching at the artclass.
