Hanae Sasaoka was born in Japan.
Before pursuing a career in art, she earned her BA of International Business from Aoyama-Gakuin University in Tokyo.
She's also learned Mandarin Chinese and Chinese law at People's University in Beijing. She worked in Taiwan, China and the UK for eight years in the business field.
Since changing her career path she has exhibited her work nationally and internationally throughout Taiwan, Japan and New York. She lived and worked in Long Island, NY from 2006 to 2010 to learn at Art Students League of NY. She's been chosen as one of the artists for New York Foundation for the Arts, Immigrant Artists Outreach Initiative Program 2007-2008.
After she has returned to Tokyo 2010 she showed her work mainly at art fair.
In 2018 She has moved to Amsterdam and continues to create artworks in new Europe field.
Her work is included in many galleries and private collections.
